Saturday July 22nd and Sunday July 23rd 11:00 am – 6:00 pm
Students come to the yoga studio each bringing their own life experience and stories. It is not uncommon nowadays for our students to have experienced trauma in some form or fashion. How can we, as yoga teachers, hold space for all of our students? This workshop will leave teachers with a deeper understanding of the biological and physiological impacts of trauma, or how trauma impacts the brain and resides in the body. We will cover guidelines for creating a safe, secure and predictable environment in our classes, no matter what type of yoga you may be teaching. Upon completion of the weekend, you will feel more confident in designing intelligent and empathetic sequencing, grounding breathwork and calming meditation practices.
While this workshop is being offered as part of our 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, it is also a stand-alone session open to all yoga instructors. Fourteen continuing education units (CEUs) are offered through Yoga Alliance.
$325 Early Bird (By July 1st) / $350 (After July 1st)
