October 18 - December 13 from Wednesdays 6:45-8:00pm
Five Week Series: October 18th; November 1st; November 15th; November 29th; December 13th
The physical practice of postures, or asana, is just one small piece of the powerful practice that is yoga. In Patanjali’s classical Yoga Sutras, he describes eight limbs, or rungs, that make up the journey towards a meaningful, purposeful life. Join us for a group book study as we dive into the first two limbs: the yamas and the niyamas. We’ll read and discuss Deborah Adele’s The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice as we familiarize ourselves with the universal moral codes or ways of living that Patanjali described through a modern-day lens.
It’s time to take your yoga off the mat and out into the world.
$80 for the 5-week series; $64 for Uttara unlimited members.
