Join Kimberly as we study Eknath Easwaran’s translation of the Bhagavad Gita. We will meet for 6 months and each month we will explore the lessons that the Gita has to offer through discussion, practice, and journaling.
The Bhagavad Gita is one of the best known of all the Indian scriptures. Its timeless message is of the utmost relevance today as we see humanity divided against each other through politics and limited worldviews, the pandemic, environmental issues, and basic human rights surrounding how humans want to love and live their lives. The Gita shows us how to do what is right through the warrior Arjuna’s epic battle with his own family, which serves as a metaphor for the war within ourselves by examining the dialogue with his spiritual guide, Sri Krishna. The Gita teaches us how to live and die, love others through acceptance and patience and rise above our limited thoughts so that we can live a healthy, happy and peaceful life. Our birthright is to live with grace and dignity, as this is the nature of the soul.
The Bhagavad Gita series is part of Uttara’s flexible 300-hour teacher training program schedule. For additional information, please contact the studio at info@uttarayogastudio.com.
