Belly Dance Fusion

Belly dance is a fun way to move your body, engage your core, and try something new! We will start each class by warming with gentle stretching. You will then be led through foundational postures and movements in Egyptian, Turkish, and American Cabaret style. Each class will build dance vocabulary through conditioning drills and movement instruction, as well as provide context and stylization to the movements through combinations that reflect the various styles of bellydance. Beginner dancers can expect to acquire the basic building blocks of bellydance. Experienced dancers will be challenged with layering, level changes, and stylization of movements and posture to transform the building blocks into a variety of dance aesthetics. All dancers can expect a welcoming and fun environment and a window into a new form of self-expression.
