Focused Flow

Each week this class will offer a varied sequence within a flow type practice where one movement threads into the next movement. Every week we will focus on a certain group of muscles, ranges of motion and or families of postures while striving to achieve a balanced practice that will leave you feeling energized, relaxed, stronger and more supple. Class will begin slow and include a warm up with pranayama (breathing techniques) and core, then move into a more kinetic flow to build heat with vinyasa (upward dog pose and downward dog pose), standing and balancing poses and end with more passive poses to cool down and prepare for Savasana. A basic understanding of yoga and terminology is helpful but not required as you will go through the basics with options for modifications and or more intense expressions of practice.
